Ganesh Kumar Singh – Our Principal

Ganesh Kumar Singh is an accomplished education leader, academic administrator, and experienced teacher with nearly two decades of service in the field of education. Currently serving as the Principal of Doon Public School, Ramzanpur, Begusarai, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in school management, curriculum development, and academic excellence since 2013.

He holds a Master of Arts in History from IGNOU, New Delhi, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the Faculty of Education, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), where he secured 71%, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from L.N.M.U. His strong academic background has been the foundation of his successful career in education.

Before becoming Principal, Mr. Singh served at Sainik School Nalanda from 2007 to 2013 as the Head of the Social Science Department. During this period, he also took on several additional responsibilities, including House Master, Quiz Club Coordinator, and CO/IC of the NDA Cell, contributing significantly to both academic and co-curricular development.

Beyond school administration, he has actively contributed to educational quality assurance as a CBSE Resource Person and a member of CBSE inspection committees for school affiliation. He has also served as an observer for CTET examinations and worked as a Micro Observer during the Lok Sabha and Bihar State Assembly elections, reflecting his commitment to public service and institutional integrity.

Mr. Singh’s contributions have earned him numerous prestigious awards, including the Best Teacher Award (2011–12), Global Observer Shiksha Samman (2016), Emerging Educationist Award of Bihar, Youngest Principal of the Year (2018), Active Principal Award by Bhasha Vikas Parishad, and the Best District Principal Award (2020) presented by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF).

Apart from his professional achievements, he is passionate about literature and creativity. His hobbies include composing poetry, writing short plays, cycling, listening to ghazals, and gardening. He has also published articles in Doosra Mat Magazine, showcasing his interest in writing and social issues.
